About

In Good Taste is a resource to help take the intimidation out of cooking for busy, young professionals, new cooks and anyone who loves food but isn’t quite sure how to cook it.

Cooking doesn’t need to be complicated, fancy or time-consuming in order to produce delicious results.  Whether you work long hours with little time to cook, live alone and cook for one or are a newlywed trying to power through all of the kitchen gadgets on your wedding registry, it can be simple and fun to create healthy, delicious meals and snacks.

Maris Callahan created In Good Taste in 2008 to combine her two passions: writing + cooking. Today, In Good Taste is home to over 250 original + adapted recipes that are simple, accessible and feature fresh ingredients, with limited processed foods or additives. In Good Taste also offers cooking tips and techniques that are designed to suit readers of any and all lifestyles.

In addition to her work on In Good Taste, Maris has developed recipes for Panera Bread, Starbucks, Walker’s Shortbread, Tazo Tea, General Mills, Bisquick, and Batter Blaster. She is an experienced freelance writer and editor for The Pioneer Woman’s Tasty Kitchen, SheKnows, Craftzine and Diets In Review. She has contributed to online publications including FoxNews.com, Chicago Health & Beauty Examiner, Chicago Sun-Times, Culinate.com, Chicago Now and the Well Fed Network [shuttered in 2010].
