Things have been a little quiet on the In Good Taste front this week but rest assured, it isn’t because I’ve been sitting around eating margarita cheesecake and drinking strawberry sangria. This week, in addition to being a little under the weather (apparently, four to five hours of sleep per night is not enough sleep per night) I’ve been busy writing elsewhere. So if you need a quick fix before the weekend (or some inspiration as to how to spend your weekend), you’ve come to the right place.
If you’d rather starve then turn your oven on during a summer heat wave, head over to Shape.com, where I’ve created five fast, fresh and simple summer salads perfect for any night of the week. A few of them are traditional and a some are new adaptations of old favorites.
Blueberry Waldorf Salad:

1/4 cup chopped, toasted walnuts
